Taking a Microscope to Music Therapy in Disability

Learn a little more about music therapy in the field of disability as Rebecca takes a ‘micoscrope to music therapy’ and invites you to look at a little deeper into the important work of Neurologic Music Therapists and Registered Music Therapists.

This information was presented live at the Australian Music Therapy Association (AMTA) ‘Inside Music Therapy: A Public Event’ in October 2025 in Melbourne, Australia. The special event celebrated the milestone of 50 years of music therapy in Australia and showcased the power of music to heal, connect and transform lives. Rebecca was an invited panel presenter alongside Professor Felicity Baker (Aged Care), Dr Carmen Cheong-Clinch (Mental Health) and Dr Emma O’Brien (Public Health).

Thankyou to the individuals and families who attend sessions with Rebecca for providing consent to share photos, information and recordings. Thankyou to colleagues for sharing photos of their beautiful venues. Thankyou to the AMTA for organising this event.
